This won't be the first time I've blogged about Catholic Relief Services (CRS) and Catholic Charities USA (CCUSA). I'm going to be as gentle as I can be with this (for me anyway).
CRS has been in the news again, and again it is because of allegations of activities which are "compromising" to the Catholic Faith. As in the past, CRS refutes the claims, and even the respected National Catholic Register (of EWTN) is supporting their defense.
You can read all of what I'm talking about here.
Once the government is done lining its pockets with our tax dollars, much of which goes towards things that are very contrary to the Catholic Faith, I think we have to be very careful with the few dollars we have left with which to donate.
Personally, I will not (I have not for quite a while) knowingly donate funds to CRS or CCUSA. These organizations have been involved in too many instances for me to feel comfortable with them.
So read up on the latest incident, but make sure you listen to the interview I link to below. It is an interview with Michael Hichborn of American Life League (ALL). Then you can decide for yourself.
Here's the link to the interview.
